Footprints

In the afternoon we did an experiment. We wanted to find out what type of soil is best for leaving footprints. We got six boxes and filled them with sand, wet sand, saw dust, lumpy dirt, smooth dirt, and bark. Then we had to mix water and plaster together until it was nice and hard. When it was ready to pour on the soil we poured it carefully over our footprint. Then we had to leave it over night. In the morning we lifted the plaster off the sand and we could see the footprints. We discovered that wet sand was the best soil for leaving footprints in.
